Hello

My Biblical and Historical Worldview – A Personal Testimony

For more than thirty years I have studied the Bible, history, archaeology, geology, and world cultures. I am not a scholar or a teacher, just a believer who loves Scripture and wants to understand it deeply. I am sharing this not to challenge anyone, not to argue, and not to correct, but simply to offer what I have learned. I honour all believers and all viewpoints.

I believe the Bible is literally true unless the text itself clearly signals metaphor or symbolism. I see Scripture as historical, spiritual, supernatural, interconnected, and trustworthy. I respect the canon we have today, but I also recognise that the biblical writers sometimes refer to books outside it, such as 1 Enoch, which Jude quotes. Because of this, I read Enoch as context that helps explain passages the Bible mentions but does not expand on. I also acknowledge the Ethiopian canon, which preserves books early Christians knew, and I approach these writings with curiosity rather than fear.

I believe the unseen spiritual realm is real and active. Across world cultures—Greek, Egyptian, Eastern, African, Native American—there are stories of giants, hybrid beings, sky‑beings, watchers, and shamans interacting with spirits. I do not dismiss these as fantasy. I see them as distorted memories of real spiritual events described in Scripture. The Bible speaks openly about angels, demons, principalities, and powers, and world cultures seem to echo these realities in their own ways.

Genesis 6 describes the “sons of God” taking human women. I believe these were fallen angels, and their offspring—the Nephilim—were giants and violent hybrids. This helps explain the corruption of the world, the necessity of the flood, worldwide legends of giants, and ancient myths of strange beings. The book of Enoch expands on this and helps make sense of the biblical story. I also believe the flood was global, not local. Geology, archaeology, and worldwide flood legends support this. The Grand Canyon, for example, looks more like the result of a lot of water in a short time than a small river over millions of years.

I believe God created distinct “kinds,” and that creatures can vary within their kind (micro‑evolution) but cannot become a different kind (macro‑evolution). I also believe the genealogies from Adam to Noah—and beyond—are real history, not symbolic lists. For me, the Bible’s timeline is not mythological; it is the true history of humanity.

I take the books of Daniel and Revelation seriously as literal prophetic truth, not allegory. They reveal real spiritual conflict, real historical patterns, real future events, and the sovereignty of God. These books are not meant to frighten us but to show us God’s control over history.

Above all, I believe in Jesus Christ—my Lord, my Saviour, and the risen Son of God who gave His life for me. Everything I study—angels, history, prophecy, archaeology—only makes sense in the light of Christ. He is the centre of my worldview.

I want to express this carefully:

On another point, I love Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu and all people deeply and respect them as individuals made in God’s image This is a theological difference, not a racial or cultural one. I reject racism in all forms. I believe Christians should be honest about differences while showing compassion, dignity, and love to all people.

I have noticed that many churches avoid topics like the unseen realm, Genesis 6, spiritual warfare, the flood as real history, the supernatural worldview of the Bible, and the connection between Old and New Testament. I understand why—these topics can be difficult or unfamiliar. I am not sharing this to argue or correct anyone. I simply want to offer what I have learned in case it encourages deeper study and conversation.

This is my worldview—shaped by 31 years of reading, prayer, study, and reflection. I do not expect anyone to agree with everything. I simply offer it humbly, in the hope that it may bless, encourage, or inspire someone to explore Scripture more deeply. I share this in love, humility, and respect for the whole Body of Christ.
