MINISTERIAL NOMINATION PROFILE
NAME: Brian Noel Morris
1) PERSONAL GIFTS AND SKILLS
I am caring person with well developed interpersonal skills. I have an outgoing, optimistic and encouraging nature. I enjoy working in a team but have the motivation to work on my own. I have the heart of an evangelist and delight to share my faith with others. I am good at motivating others to see opportunities for outreach and faith sharing. I enjoy preaching and writing.
2) THEOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES
I believe in a Triune God, who created the world and has been made known through His Son, who for the sake of redeeming a fallen world, suffered, died, and was raised again. I believe in justification by grace through faith alone, the necessity of personal salvation. and believer’s baptism by immersion. I believe in the priesthood of all believers and the autonomy of the local church. I am committed to developing close working cooperation among congregations for the sake of common mission efforts. I am also deeply committed to the priority of evangelism and mission in the local church’s life.
3) CONVERSION AND CHRISTIAN EXPERIENCE
From my earliest days in Sunday School I have believed in God but did not commit myself until my late teens. After backsliding for many years I recommitted my life to Jesus in a Police Station cell in December 1995. Since that day, my life took on new meaning and I set up a prayer group in prison and ministered to many hurting inmates. Since leaving prison in December 2000 I have written my autobiography and shared my testimony in many prisons, schools and churches. I led a weekly prayer group for five years and now attend a monthly lighthouse prayer meeting.
